In line with a string of executive appointments over recent months, software and peripherals distributor Dataflow Computer Services has appointed a new managing director, former TelePacific general manager Michael Touma.
Founder and former managing director of the 15-year-old distributor, Jeffrey Tobias, has created the position of executive chairman for himself. He now intends to observe industry trends and steer the general direction of the company.
This leaves the day-to-day operations of the company in the hands of his executive team which also includes David Grosvenor (COO) and Alex D'Azevedo (CFO) in addition to Touma.
Touma comes to Dataflow with a strong background in financial management, most recently at TelePacific which has now been absorbed into Tech Pacific.
"My main focus is to build the current infrastructure so that Dataflow continues to be well-positioned to exploit profitable market opportunities and support its growth plans," Touma said. "Dataflow has invested in people, IT systems and warehouse infrastructure which is aimed at improving our ability to support resellers and publishers as well as enhancing our position as Australia's number-one software distributor."
Tobias said: "My focus as executive chairman will be looking for opportunities to expand business and add value for shareholders and building Dataflow's online strategy."
