OEM partnerships the key for Seagate Software

With Seagate Software recently announcing the addition of Agate to its distribution channel in Australia, resellers can expect the software vendor will be especially active in promoting its product range.

Derrin Cozart, Canada-based strategic relations manager for Seagate Software, was in Australia recently to meet with some of Seagate's global OEM partners including Platinum Software, Solomon Software and Aspect Computing.

Cozart clearly values the role of the channel, and said he is looking for ways that resellers can gain more business for Seagate and its partners.

Cozart told ARN that he was very pleased with the response he received.

"By working with leading software developers to encourage them to use Seagate Crystal as their standard reporting tool, we leverage a lot of incremental business for Seagate Software and our resellers around the world."

Seagate Software's Australian channel manager, Fred King hinted at a range of new announcements for the channel, including OEM agreements and reseller certifications that will be made over the next few months.
