Unisys' drive into the network integration market has been strengthened with last week's announcement that it is the first Nortel Networks Global Solutions Provider (GSP). The Global Solutions Provider program is the highest partner accreditation available to Nortel integrators.
Under the program, Unisys will receive:

Dave Shrigley, executive vice president of marketing, sales and service for Nortel's Bay line of business, said: "Clearly the growth predictions for this market indicate that customers are increasingly turning to this class of solutions provider to help them reap greater value from their investments in technology. We consider alliances with world-class organisations as critical to our success in delivering Unified Networks."
Nortel expects to sign up further GSPs in the coming months. To qualify for GSP status, integrators must meet aggressive financial, geographic, skills, competence, certification and reporting requirements.
