LAN Systems announced this week the extension of its service program with the creation of PremierPlus Service, a response to the emergence of value added resellers in the networking arena.
In an IT environment focused on the provision of services and total solutions, LAN Systems marketing manager John Penn hopes this program will provide resellers with resources outside their areas of traditional expertise in systems services, and move them into the LAN and WAN markets. Penn believes this will eventually enable them to provide solutions ranging from desktop to network implementations.
Penn claims that applications for places in the PremierPlus Service program are unlimited and unrestricted. However VARs, who have been working with LAN for some time and have invested in Cisco as well are more likely to be involved suggests Penn. These resellers are already operating in the networking space so need less detailed training with LAN products, Penn states, but he asserts that resellers who don't match this criteria are eligible and will receive specific attention in the LAN/WAN area.
Successful candidates can expect better margins and increased flexibility to choose various LAN products and services claims Penn. The program will be run through a series of training seminars and one on one sessions, Penn said.
