Graphics software developer Micrografx has announced a new business strategy targeting the enterprise market with the launch ofiGrafx System, a range of next-generation graphics tools for the enterprise market.
Announced on Wednesday, the decision to focus solely on the enterprise market comes from enterprise customer requests and a desire to concentrate on "where our real strengths are", claims Linda Birchall, Micrografx managing director Australia.
Birchall claims the iGrafx system is the result of two years development, and provides an intelligent scalable graphics solution, enabling organisations to visually communicate and analyse corporate information.
Designed to cater for user demands across an enterprise from the specialist, the professional and the general user, the iGrafx System's software components run on Windows-based platforms and feature VBA6 integration to provide extensibility and customisation capabilities, claims Birchall.
Spearheading the iGrafx System's release is the launch of the vendor's latest version of ABC FlowCharter 7, renamed iGrafx Professional.
Available in Australia in April, the iGrafx Professional, which also contains the iGrafx Business and iGrafx Share components, enables users to create, view and manipulate graphics including marketing charts, data graphs, organisation charts, network diagrams, Web content and software diagrams.
Nilanga Wigesekera, Micrografx Australia distribution manager Asia-Pacific, claims the initial interest from resellers has been strong, with implementation and licensing firm incentives.
