Networking vendor Ascend Communications has announced two new services programs in a bid to position channel partners for growth in the services sector, claim company officials.
"This channel services program opens up new business opportunities for our channel partners and positions them to provide comprehensive, end-to-end services," claims Scott Thompson, Ascend's Global Integration Services division executive vice president and general manager. "This choice gives channel partners the flexibility to choose the approach that best enhances and extends their business model."
The Authorised Service Provider (ASP) and Advantage Reseller Partner (ARP) programs are designed to enable resellers to strengthen customer relationships through delivering "time-to-market" public network solutions through services, said a statement released by Ascend.
The ASP program is designed for resellers who have significant investments in their own services and support infrastructure and would benefit from leveraging their own branded services, including technical support, diagnostics, maintenance and hardware replacement, claims Ascend. The ASP program also provides support services across a three-tier model, enabling resellers to increase margins, maximise profits and pursue additional opportunities, said company officials.
The ARP program allows partners to resell Ascend's services, including Advantage and Advantage Plus Services, at a discount price, and allows the reseller to tailor these solutions to its customers, claims the vendor.
