With a view to expanding its channel in Australia, productivity and utilities software vendor Network Associates International (NAI) has appointed CHA as a national distribution partner for its retail and corporate products.
CHA has recently formed a software group to deal with NAI products and other software it distributes including Citrix. CHA managing director, Roger Bushell said that the distributor is heavily involved with server based technologies which makes the NAI antivirus, security, network management and service desk ranges a perfect fit.
"The rewards are there for resellers that choose to partner with CHA and Network Associates to take advantage of the market share they have. We will be putting a lot of resources into this new relationship and we will be working heavily with the channel to market the products."
NAI Asia-Pacific vice president Dean Mansfield said it is "actively partnering with companies that can offer us the best support to increase market penetration.
"CHA has strong relationships with the Australian reseller market and has a solid infrastructure," he said.
National marketing manager at CHA James Robbins said that it already sells NAI's Gold Partners licensing agreements for NAI. Licensing is already a significant part of the business, he said, and the NAI deal offers the opportunity to further expand that.
Robbins also revealed that CHA is expecting to generate about 12 million dollars in revenue over the next 12 months from NAI sales.
