Only weeks after a major corporate reorganisation in the US, Microsoft has appointed a new managing director for its Australian operation, fuelling speculations about a possible reshuffle.
The world's number-one software vendor selected its current Chicago district manger, Paul Houghton, for the top position down under.
A former Bell Atlantic employee, Houghton will officially take over from current MD, Eugenio Beaufrand, on September 6.
Beaufrand will return to Latin America as a director of Microsoft's Southern Cone operations.
