NuMega Driver Studio

Compuware Australia has announced the release of NuMega Driver Studio, a device driver development suite for Windows 2000. According to Compuware officials, Driver Studio will accelerate the development of drivers for Windows 95/98, NT and 2000. The suite should also enable application developers to remotely debug drivers over the Internet, determine the cause of system crashes and identify memory leaks.

NuMega Driver Studio is available now at a special introductory price of $3839.

Lotus Notes and Domino R5

According to Lotus officials, Release 5.0 of Lotus Notes client, Lotus Domino server and Lotus Domino Designer is likely to reach 50 million users, following its introduction in Australia earlier this month.

Giving users faster access to frequently used applications, Release 5 features new messaging and collaboration features for better Internet, e-mail and corporate information access, the IBM subsidiary claims. Notes R5 is available now on Windows 95, 98 and NT. The Macintosh version will be shipped next month.

Estimated retail price for Domino Designer R5 is $702, Domino Mail Server $1070 and Domino Application Server $2764.

Unify VISION, ACCELL and DataServer on LinuxUnify in Australia has announced seven members of its product family will be certified for Red Hat Linux 5.2 and launched by the end of the year.

Unify VISION, Unify ACCELL and Unify Data-Server family will now be extended to include the fast-growing community of Linux developers.

Company officials said the Linux initiative reflects Unify's commitment to open systems.
