Consolidated Business Directories (CBD) has released the latest version of Software Buyers Guide.
According to Rod Caust, CBD's managing director, "Software Buyers Guide lets resellers provide better service for their customers." He added: "...often, a software sale is made purely on the basis of knowing a product is available, and this is what the guide is all about."
The new version, which has been under development for the last 18 months, is available in both CD-ROM and hard copy as a loose-leaf directory. Either format is acquired by subscription, is updated regularly, and is replaced quarterly.
Annual subscription to the Software Buyers Guide (SBG) costs $199.80 for CD-ROM, and $350 for loose-leaf. Subscription includes access to the SBG Internet site (www.sbg.com.au). This means that regular updates can be downloaded, or the subscribers can simply conduct searches online via the Web site.
SBG includes the details of software available from all leading software distributors as well as most known distributors of niche products.
Caust said that it was a one-stop source of information for resellers who may otherwise be searching through a library of catalogues.
Searches can be made by category, product number, publisher, distributor or title. Text-based searches mean that key words in the description will allow subscribers to locate the products they want. Every entry is cross-referenced to the distributor and contact details.
