Daniel Gard, Digiland's general manager, sales and marketing, has joined the recent string of senior management exits in the channel and left the company.
A company spokeswoman on Friday confirmed Gard left the company a week ago, following industry rumours of his departure. She refused to reveal reasons for Gard's departure.
Gard's appointment in February this year was billed as a coup for the distributor after he left his previous role as Hewlett-Packard's manager of specialised wholesale program to become general manager of Digiland's HP business.
At the time, Digiland was making an effort to boost its HP relationship and distribute higher-end equipment from the vendor, building on its HP consumer line.
