Enterprise software and service provider QAD has announced it has received the IBM Netfinity Partner Excellence Award for its cooperation and teamwork with IBM on the launch of the PowerSystem enterprise solution, company officials said.
IBM general manager of Netfinity, Bill Colton, said recently at the IBM Business Partner Executive Conference (BPEC) '99, that IBM was excited about the relationship with QAD and the new business opportunities PowerSystem represents for IBM's Netfinity and its partners.
Paul Henderson, QAD Australia managing director, says the award is indicative of the company gaining worldwide recognition and that the Australian operation has contributed to this success.
Launched last year, the PowerSystem enterprise solution is a combination of QAD industry-specific enterprise software and IBM Netfinity servers and middleware.
PowerSystem is a pre-integrated, out-of-the-box solution running on Windows NT that, according to Henderson, is scalable, easy to integrate and industry-specific in its functionality.
In mid-market manufacturing Henderson believes QAD is the strongest ERP solution provider in Australia with 45 new sites developed in 1998, specifying customer assurance as a distinctive characteristic of the PowerSystem solution.
