Two more top execs leave Cabletron

Just days after switching CEOs, struggling Cabletron Systems received the resignations of two top officials, John D'Auguste, president of operations, and Allan Finch, vice president of world-wide marketing.

A company spokesman said D'Auguste, who joined the company in January 1998, and Finch, who joined in June 1997, left to pursue other business opportunities. D'Auguste left because he was unhappy that Piyush Patel, who previously reported to him, beat him for the top spot, according to a source close to the company.

The Rochester-based networking vendor previously announced that co-founder and CEO Craig Benson would be replaced by Patel, Cabletron's senior vice president of world-wide research and development.
