After setting up shop in Australia last month, ERP software vendor Damgaard has launched its local operations by signing its first channel partner in the form of integrated solutions.
Damgaard Asia Pacific general manager Paull Betts told ARN the vendor was looking to grow market share and establish a foothold in Australia over the course of 1999 through its partnering strategy.
"We're targeting the mid-range market and are looking to be one of the top four companies in Australia," he said.
The partnership was based on mutual benefits seen by both companies, claims Betts, with Damgaard scouting around Australia for "quality partners" in the form of larger resellers and integrators who could integrate the technology on offer.
Betts says channel partners stand to increase revenue across integration, support and product moving but claims the real benefits lie in the joint marketing initiatives and sales/leads generation.
Integrated Solutions' Patty Carretta says the company has been operating in the medium enterprise segment of the ERP/MRP market for a significant time and "believes Damgaard's flagship product, AXAPTA, offers Australian businesses the opportunity to embrace cutting-edge technology which is not only affordable but also relatively easy to implement within a short time frame".
