Following on from strong sales in Australia, Severn Trent Systems (STS) is basking in the limelight after taking out the recent Sun Application Alliance Partner of the Year Award in London.
Announced at Sun's 'Partner Recognition Awards' the software products and services company was recognised for its "exceptional deployments of applications that have leveraged significant Sun hardware", said a statement released by STS.
With lucrative sales into Australian power utilities AlintaGas and Powercor impacting on Sun's hardware and services revenues, John Franey, STS sales and marketing director, claims it's the company's partnering strategy which has yielded such results.
"Our partnering approach is extremely important to STS' business success. In teaming up with experts in other areas of software development, we are able to offer customers the very best application solutions," he said.
Jim Hassell, director of Sun's partner sales division, stressed the importance of Sun recognising its business associates' expertise and professionalism, enabling the vendor to have a business strategy which meets the changing needs of its customers.
