Toshiba Australia has announced it has dropped the prices on two of its mobile PCs.
The announcement to cut the prices on its Satellite 4060XCDT and 4080XCDT models follows a strong year in 1998, in which the GartnerGroup placed Toshiba number one globally in the mobile market.
"We regularly revise pricing on all models to ensure customers are getting the benefit of manufacturing efficiencies," said Mark Whittard, Toshiba Australia marketing manager, information systems division. "We're pleased to be able to pass on savings to our customers. In addition to leading the industry in the delivery of advanced technology and product reliability, Toshiba seeks to lead the market in terms of value for money."
The new pricing for the Satellite 4080XCDT is $5500, a saving of 8.3 per cent, and the 333MHz 4060XCDT is priced at $4500, a saving of 8.2 per cent.
