Brio Technology has recruited its training and consulting partner of two years, Forge Information Technology, to resell that organisation's package of business intelligence, consulting and training services.
As a result of the new partnership, a new entity, called Forge Data Services, has been established to expand the reach of Brio's Enterprise product suite.
Forge Data Services currently employs three full-time consultants in Sydney and is on the verge of opening a second office, either in Melbourne or Canberra.
According to Paul Beks, Brio's business development manager, the strategy is to develop long-term reseller partnerships with a focus on the enterprise business intelligence (EBI) market.
Competing in a global market that has been valued by analysts at $4 billion to $5 billion, Brio is confident of expanding upon its current reseller base of four organisations. Beks claimed that by year's end Brio will have attracted a further eight resellers, a number that includes local reseller APS, which deploys software applications for the accounting industry.
Meanwhile, Brio is also in the midst of establishing a cooperative of Australian software developers keen on exposing their products to customers on a global scale.
