NEC claims its latest releases now mean it has the ideal range of notebook computers for addressing the portable computing solutions needs of business, enterprise, educational and government users throughout the country. At the high end of the range, the new high-end Versa LX notebooks feature the latest, fastest Intel PII processors at clock speeds of 333, 366 and 300MHz.
Standard specifications include 64MB of memory, DVD drive, 8MB of Video RAM, AGP (Advanced Graphics Port), 6.4 and 10GB hard-drive storage capacities and 14 inch active-matrix TFT screens.
NEC's thin Versa Lite notebook, weighing in at only 1.6kg, is being positioned as the ideal model for the travelling executive. The Versa Note is only 25mm thin and features the B5 size footprint. The Versa Lite is powered by Intel's 300MHz processor with MMX technology. This new notebook features a 12.1 inch SVGA TFT screen, 64MB of RAM, a 4.3GB hard-disk drive, and comes with a choice of operating systems (Microsoft Windows 95, or NT).
