Sydney-based software distributor Aeronaut Industries is seeking to grow its presence in the Australian developer tools and solutions market by enlarging its reseller base.
According to Ken Chester, Aeronaut's channel manager, the company is currently undertaking final preparations for the launch of its revamped channel division. To kick off the initiative, Aeronaut is looking to recruit several premium partners who will position Aeronaut's reseller core as developer market specialists.
"We are actively searching for resellers who particularly target the developer market," Chester said.
"Our channel division, which will be relaunched on the 1st of July, will be built around core resellers.
"As our key partners with a specific focus on the developer market, they will get all of our marketing help and support.
"Other premium partners will still be able to obtain volume discounts on any of the Aeronaut-distributed products they decide to sell."
With its list of over 1000 products including Seagate Software, Clarion and InstallShield, Chester believes Aeronaut's new channel strategy will "offer resellers a lot more potential and opportunity to add value through consulting".
Although the channel division is not a new part of Aeronaut strategy, its relaunch is expected to help the company make its role, as well as its presence as a distributor, in the Australian market more distinct.
