AA gets Spiked

Spike Networks and Arthur Andersen have joined their online and consulting colleagues in forming an e-business partnership.

The arrangement will see the organisations team up on providing e-business strategies, Web design and development, systems development and data warehousing, the companies said in a statement. It will operate throughout the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Korea, India and Taiwan.

"Spike is continually breaking ground at the front-end of Web services, and by partnering with Spike our end-to-end service offering will be innovative and extensive," said Arthur Andersen's managing partner of business consulting, Byram Johnston.

"The Asia-Pacific e-business consulting market is estimated to represent revenues in excess of $US8 billion in the year 2002. This is the region in which Arthur Andersen sees exponential growth," Johnston said.

Arthur Andersen joins competitors PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and Andersen Consulting in forming partnerships with Internet companies.
