Getronics Australia was yesterday appointed a Cisco Gold Certified Partner -- one of only four organisations to achieve the gold status in Australia.
To secure the alliance, Getronics, formerly Wang Global Australia, had to meet a set of strict criteria in the areas of planning, training, network design and management, support and global networking.
"Getronics Australia undertook a focused effort to increase the level of Cisco sales and support readiness within its organisation," said Rob Cullen, director of Global Systems Integrators for Cisco Systems.
As a gold partner, Getronics will be considered an extension of Cisco's own support team and will be involved in the provision of customer support on a 24 x 7 x 365 basis. Getronics will be responsible for the implementation and design of networks, testing products, remote diagnosis and on-site troubleshooting, according to a Getronics statement.
Getronics managing director, Robin Dixon, said: "It's great to see our investment in training rewarded by the Gold status. It's further proof of the technical expertise we have in Australia and the superior service we provide our customers."
