Terry Walsh, who is currently general manager of Cisco's service provider group, looks set to be appointed to the plum role of managing director.
Walsh looks a certainty following the news that the other main candidate being considered, Phil Belcher, will be assuming the role of the Asia-Pacific manager for Enterprise.
Industry observers have been unanimous in the belief that the replacement for the charismatic Gary Jackson would be either Belcher or Walsh.
ARN Daily understands that Walsh is currently in the US for meetings with Cisco senior management, and is almost certain to take the Australian MD position.
Jackson left the local job to head up Cisco's Asia-Pacific telecommunications operations.
