LAN Systems offers free Cisco training

LAN Systems is offering to pay the cost of reseller's Cisco certification if they meet certain sales targets, the networking distributor announced yesterday.

Under the program jointly run by LAN Systems, Cisco and training company Geo Train, called Road to Premier, an unauthorised Cisco reseller will have 50 per cent of their certification paid for if they meet the sales target set. If they meet the stretch target LAN Systems will pay for 100 per cent of the training. Both targets are set within a six-month time frame.

Once the set sales target or the stretch sales target has been achieved, resellers have three months to complete the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) certifications. Both certificates involve the reseller sitting a final Sylvan prometric exam.

Registration for existing LAN Systems partners will be automatic. Resellers who haven't purchased anything from LAN Systems previously will need to have an approved trading account.
