Former Intel national sales manager Archie Wilson has landed at 3Com in a newly created position -- country manager, Australia and New Zealand.
Wilson will report directly to Gerhard Rumpff, 3Com's Australia and New Zealand managing director.
The company reports that Wilson will free up Rumpff to concentrate on new regional responsibilities in the MD's additional role of director of marketing, Asia-Pacific.
As country manager, Wilson will assume responsibility for all areas of the company's business. Specifically, he will develop a focus on sales and marketing strategies in the carrier, enterprise, SME and education market segments.
ARN LiveWire first reported news of Wilson's departure from Intel yesterday.
