Ingram Micro Australia has expanded its Microsoft distribution arrangements with its appointment as a Microsoft Press Titles distributor yesterday.
The rights to distribute Microsoft's learning solutions, that propose to help users become more proficient with Microsoft products, will allow Ingram to offer total solutions to the channel, according to Michael Shea, managing director of Ingram.
"We can now provide the total Microsoft solution to our customers. Ingram Micro Australia has a proven track record in selling Microsoft products to the channel and has consistently grown market share and sales revenue over the past few years," Shea said.
And Microsoft is pushing this relationship as a bonus not only to the end user but to the channel as well. "Microsoft Press gives resellers a great add-on sale which complements the software range and can increase overall margins on customer orders," Shea added.
Susan Fotheringham, marketing manager for Microsoft Press in Australia, agrees that resellers can take advantage of Press products to improve customer relationships and value-add on service issues.
"Microsoft Press titles help users create their own answers and this can reduce support costs and increase customers satisfaction," said Fotheringham.
Internationally Ingram already distributes Microsoft Press products.
