Veritas continued its acquisition spree last week by snapping up NuView, a network company specialising in clustering management software. Terms of the agreement were not announced.
NuView's ClusterX adds to Veritas' portfolio of high-availability products for Windows NT networks. ClusterX manages clustered NT servers, from Web servers to back-end application servers.
The product is designed to increase the manageability and availability of clustered servers running Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 Enterprise Edition and Windows 2000 Data Center Edition.
NuView, based in Houston, will become a research and development unit for Veritas. NuView's 22 employees are expected to remain with the unit.
