Menu joins ASP throng joins ASP throng

Australian developer has joined the ASP Industry Consortium in yet another boost to a market predicted to be worth $9 billion by 2001.

The move comes in the wake of the July launch of ZoneStudio, the ASP-enabled Web site building tool tar-geted at small businesses. Developed by MultiEmedia over the last two years, ZoneStudio is marketed in conjunction with the National Australia Bank, which offers the service to its customers for under $100 per month.

Adrian Ballintine, executive chairman of MultiEmedia, said the Consortium membership could put his company at the forefront of the Australian ASP market where it will join the likes of Solution 6 and ServiceNet.

"By delivering solutions to the market in this way, we offer customers a real alternative to how they purchase their systems," Ballintine said. "Aside from enabling organisa-tions to better manage their IT costs, we will help customers focus on the real issues affecting their businesses - without them needing to count the dollars being spent on their applications."
