Cisco Australia has promoted Liz Lawson to the position of regional manager, national channels/SMB, in a move that gives her responsibility for the entire Cisco channel.
Lawson now looks after the enterprise channel in addition to her existing responsibilities for the SMB market, distributors and the two reseller tiers consisting of Gold and Silver partners, and resellers working directly through distributors.
Cisco announced the promotion last week amid what appears to be something of a major reshuffling at the networking giant.
Lawson's appointment follows the resignation of Geoff Zuber, who previously managed the enterprise channel business. Zuber is apparently pursuing "other interests".
A number of other positions have been reassigned within the company, which coincides with the recent appointment of Terry Wash as MD.
Cisco's channel team now numbers 25, with over 60 per cent of the company's business currently flowing through indirect channels.
Lawson said she is not predicting any radical changes to the existing channel structure, but indicated training programs will become a significant focus.
"Terry [Walsh] is looking for a lot of growth out of the channel," Lawson said.
