Trend Micro, Check Point Software, Compaq and Internet Security Systems have joined forces in Australia to offer a managed security solution.
According to Trend Micro managing director, Chris Poulos it is the first time Australian companies will be able to source a product that addresses total security needs rather than reactively "patching" together different products that do not fit.
"Until now there has been no single product or solution for companies; an organisation had to shop around for the best antivirus solution, the best firewall product and best intrusion detection service, and then cobble these together," Poulos said.
System integration and policy development is being provided by Compaq Global Services performing the implementation of software as well as creating security policy and security architecture documents.
Users can understand their vulnerability with ISS scanning tools, implement protection against viruses and malicious code using the Trend Micro suite and also be alerted of breeches as they occur with a Check Point firewall and ISS intrusion detection software, a spokesperson said.
Check Point Technologies assisted with the integration providing its open architecture solution Open Platform for Security (OPSEC) which is an enterprise-wide policy management and policy enforcement framework.
