Dicker’s damsel becomes Kingston memory maid

Following a decade at Dicker Data, Marites Bairstow has decided to check out life on the other side of the fence.

This month, she begins a new life in vendor land, heading up the northern region sales team for memory vendor Kingston Technology.

The longtime Dicker product manager was most recently handling the Toshiba account for the distributor, but said she’s already familiar with Kingston, as it’s distributed by Dicker.

Her new role will undoubtedly involve a lot of travelling, as it covers the ACT, New South Wales and Queensland.

And the job’s already taken her to California to hear all about Kingston, how its products are made, her role in the company and to “get an idea of the bigger picture.”

Bairstow’s predecessor, Matt Cameron, has taken leave after three years at Kingston. This month he’s been helping Bairstow get to know people and learn her new role, which includes handling Kingston’s corporate partnership programme.
