Sausage Software is set to buy multimedia and Web design business KnowledgeWorks, in a move that will provide Sausage with Web development expertise in the Lotus Notes platform, a skilled production team and a new client base.
Sausage director Wayne Bos said the acquisition would allow Sausage to deliver a complete range of workflow enabled Web applications and business-to-business solutions.
"KnowledgeWorks is a healthy business with a strong commercial focus and unique skill set that will further strengthen our Internet offering," Bos said.
KnowledgeWorks has a range of clients from both the government and corporate sectors, including the Department of Justice, Natural Resources and Environment, Arts Victoria, Victorian Golf Association and Vision Australia.
The two companies have entered into a Heads of Agreement, but the sale is pending formal contract documentation.
KnowledgeWorks will continue to operate from its current premises until December, when the Sausage Group moves to its new headquarters in Flinders Lane, Melbourne.
