Braham Shnider, Ingram Micro's general manager for systems and peripherals and former ITG boss has resigned, ARN learnt late today.
ITG, a Melbourne-based distributor, was taken over earlier this year by Ingram Micro and together with ERA became Ingram Micro Australia.
Officially Shnider has departed "to pursue a new challenge and spend time with his wife and young children", the company reports.
Shnider was quoted in an Ingram Micro press release stating: "It is with sadness that I announce my resignation from Ingram Micro Australia, this was not an easy decision and it was made months ago."
"My intention has always been to move on to new challenges once the ITG team was fully integrated into Ingram Micro Australia," he said in the release.
"Now that the integration is complete I believe it is time for me to move on a pursue new business interests."
He finishes working with Ingram Micro as of tomorrow, the 20th October. ARN understands Ingram Micro staff enjoyed a few quiet drinks this evening to farewell Shnider.
