Security solutions provider Secure Network Solutions (SNS) has been signed up by Internet security company Check Point Software Technologies as a Premier Partner. This deal provides another boost for SNS, which last month announced a 230 per cent year-on-year increase in after-tax profit.
SNS managing director Geoffrey Ross said SNS already has a huge firewall installation base in Australia and was always looking for quality products to provide Internet security. The Check Point Software products will be one more of its critical building blocks in that arena, he said. Being a Premier Partner of the company means SNS is now in the frontline for selling and supporting the products.
Ross added that SNS' year-on-year profit increase was due to the company's ability to seize the growth opportunities associated with the global expansion of e-commerce and the Internet. He also attributed it to the company's ability to develop and own deep enabling technology for securing all types of e-commerce transactions and to form effective partnerships to take these products and services to market.
SNS was already heavily involved in Internet security, which represents a significant part of the company's business, he added. "The core SNS business strategy is to work with good partners both on a sales side and a product side."
