Australia's newest online computer superstore,, prefers to be compared with Harris Technology rather than competing online retailer, E-Store, according to Michael Glezerson,'s managing director.

The store began trading in the Australian marketplace yesterday.

Glezerson said he would rather compare to a high-end player rather than a low-end player.

"Our aim is to offer a lot more than anyone else," he said, adding that is both a resource site and fulfilment site.

Using five distributors, Tech Pacific, Express Data, Data Flow, Chips & Bits, and Multimedia Universe, Glezerson said offers the most diverse range of products targeting small-to-medium enterprises.

In what Glezerson claims to be in an industry first, will provide customers with the ability to compare competing products.

"This allows customers to make their own educated choice as to the product most suitable for their needs whether for the reason of price, brand, specifications or compatibility with existing equipment," Glezerson customers will have access to 55,000 products including computer software, hardware and consumer products, he said. Additionally, the site will provide a comprehensive glossary of terms and a system of categorisation.
