Enterprise solutions provider Mincom has added to the flood of ASP technology inundating the market, with the announcement of a multimillion-dollar initiative to target the ASP-based IT services market.
Mincom Information Technology Services has relaunched as Tequinox and announced a series of strategic ASP partnerships with global vendors, such as Microsoft and Oracle.
Executive vice president of Tequinox Bill Hodgson said the company hopes to take advantage of the growing ASP movement, but it will not be neglecting its current focus on enterprise asset management software and solutions.
"The ASP market is forecast by all major industry analysts to continue its current three digit growth until at least 2003," Hodgson said. "The Tequinox operation and brand has been formed to provide a dedicated focus for the provision of ASP-based IT services to our existing customers and new market prospects.
"It's important to note that the current IT and business process outsourcing services supplied by Mincom ITS will remain central to the new Tequinox operation."
The new Tequinox ASP-based delivery model deploys a Citrix Metaframe and MCI WorldCom network, for the supply of IT and business process outsourcing services.
Tequinox will be responsible for the ongoing provision of IT services to some of Australia's and the world's leading corporate organisations, including Shell Coal and Edison Mission Energy.
