Value-added distributor MUA on Friday revealed its plans to offer a complete version of its FullCRM software free-of-charge to the channel, a move it says was prompted by reseller feedback.
MUA will offer the software on its Web site from November 17 for resellers' internal use and also to allow them to resell it to their customers as part of a total CRM package. Resellers will issue customers with passwords to allow them to download the software directly from the site once payment is received.
MUA's managing director, Paul McQuarrie, said MUA decided to offer the package free of charge after developing it for its own internal use as a helpdesk tracking system with sales and contact management features.
"Resellers want to use it themselves because they also need a good sales tracking system," he said.
McQuarrie said MUA will shortly introduce the product through a series of seminars. From November 17 resellers would also be able to go into MUA's ASP site and see demonstrations of the product.
