Riding on the back of previous successes, national electronics and computer retailer Dick Smith has opened yet another PowerHouse, bringing the total to six stores around Australia.
Situated on the new level at the Macquarie Shopping Centre at North Ryde in Sydney, the PowerHouse is six times the size of the average Dick Smith electronics store and features 30,000 different products.
One of the less ordinary features is the entertainment zone which features a vast range of audio visual equipment and installs car audio and alarm systems on the spot.
"Our aim is to bring all kinds of electronic, communications and computer-based technology to Australians in a fun, informative and friendly environment," said Jeff Glover, managing director of Dick Smith Electronics. "Everything at a Dick Smith Electronics PowerHouse is plugged in, powered up and fully tuned for customers to try out."
Customers can also surf the Net at the Internet bar, and upgrade PCs at the designated upgrade centre.
