Network Associates (NA) has announced the release of a new `multi-pack' of its Total Virus Defense enterprise antivirus software that is specifically designed for the small business market.
Basically what the deal is offering is two years of protection for the price of one, which is sure to have appeal amongst small businesses who may be realising they are a little over-exposed after a series of recent well-publicised virus epidemics.
The new McAfee Total Virus Defense Multi User Pack is available in five-, 10- and 25-user packs to suit any small computer network. The special offer is available until December 15.
Vicki Bain, Network Associates' regional channels manager, said that as businesses move past Y2K issues and implement e-business solutions, the pressing issue will be network security.
`It is expected that January will be a boom time for virus writers, and while no one is sure what will really happen, it makes sense to be secure regardless. Now is the time to do it, and we are offering a bonus additional year's licence of Total Virus Defense to encourage businesses to prepare,' Bain said.
The RRP for a one-year licence of the TVD Multi User Pack is $499 for five users, $999 for 10 users and $2499 for 25 users. A one-year licence, which is extended to two for this promotion, entitles users to all updates to the software during that time. By ARN staff
