iseek Communications has broadened its national reach to middle-tier ISPs and voice service providers by signing on as an Optus Data Services channel partner.
Under the agreement, the Brisbane-based company will onsell ADSL and ADSL2, residential and business-grade DSL, dial-up Internet, wholesale Internet and VoIP to tier two and three ISPs.
iSeek had been supplying Optus wholesale IP services in Queensland since 1999, but did not have a formal agreement in place, managing director, Jason Gomersall, said.
"This deal is about formalising existing arrangements with Optus and extending our current deal to include ADSL2 when it is launched later this year," he said.
ADSL2 technology was vital to iSeek's future sales strategy and would allow customers to bundle voice and data services.
"The biggest news for resellers and ISPs is the extent to which we will allow them to go into the voice space like never before," Gomersall said. "We will be able to let our partners target the residential market with bundled voice and data in one simple transaction."
The company will be conducting its national wholesale operation through its recently opened North Sydney office.
