Report: $30 million blown on NBN failure
The Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) has put a $30 million price tag on the first failed NBN tender process, blaming the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Minister Stephen Conroy and the global financial crisis.

The opposition has selected Tony Smith to takeover as shadow minister for broadband, communications and the digital economy. The appointment comes as part of a ministerial reshuffle following Tony Abbott’s appointment as opposition leader.
