ISP to target nearly 40,000 new customers with fast broadband

Nextgen Networks announced it reached the halfway point of its rollout of the National Broadband Network’s Regional Backbone Blackspot Program in an event in Melbourne.

Work on the first mainland piece of the National Broadband Network(NBN) started today as digging began on its first stretch of fibre optics in Mt Isa, Queensland.

Work on the Government’s $250 million Regional Backbone Blackspots program is set to commence in Mt Isa on February 17.

Networking integrator, Nextgen Networks, has won a $250 million tender for the Federal Government’s Regional Backbone Blackspots Program. The contract is the first regional building block for the National Broadband Network (NBN).
