Trend Micro focuses on increasing presence in service provider market
Trend Micro has appointed George Farah to the position of Service Provider Business Development Manager for Australia and New Zealand, signalling Trend Micro’s focus on increasing its presence in this market.
In his new role, Mr Farah will build on Trend Micro’s already significant presence in the service provider market, whilst assisting managed service providers to build cost effective, high quality anti-virus and anti-spam solutions for businesses and consumers in the region.
Mr Farah will also have the responsibility for increasing the market share of Trend Micro’s consumer internet security and antivirus product PC-cillin through working closely with major retailers and through Trend Micro’s online strategy.
Chris Poulos, Managing Director of Trend Micro Australia said, “The appointment of George to this position confirms the company’s intention to increase its presence in the service provider sector. This is an important channel and one that will be significant to Trend Micro’s future growth potential. “
Mr Farah has more than 18 years experience in sales, 12 of which have been in the ICT industry. Most recently he worked as Corporate Sales Manager for Global Knowledge Network Australia. He also spent nine years with Telstra where he reached the position of National Partner Manager for Telstra Partners, and has also held a position with KPMG Consulting. Prior to entering into the ICT Industry Mr Farah worked in the Professional Audio Industry in sales and is a qualified Audio Engineer.
