Sydney, Australia - 14 August 2012 – Brother International Australia today announced the introduction of eight enhanced models to its existing line-up of monochrome laser printers and Multi-Function Centres®. The new range includes the HL-6180DW^, HL-5470DW, HL-5450DN and HL-5440D monochrome laser printers and the MFC-8950DW^, MFC-8910DW, MFC-8510DN and DCP-8155DN monochrome laser Multi-Function Centres®.

The entire range has been tailored to meet the daily needs of today’s businesses and large corporations by providing high-quality, reliable and cost-effective prints. Brother’s enhanced monochrome laser series also boasts faster printing speed of up to 40 pages per minute.

The improved feature set also includes automatic 2-sided printing, copying, scanning and faxing to provide cost, paper and time savings as well as a standard 500 sheet** paper tray that is expandable to 1050 sheets**.  Selected models also have networking capabilities and wireless connectivity with convenient LCD screens.

The new and innovative “Web Connect” function, found in the MFC-8950DW, allows users to connect directly to the Internet to upload and share files. Furthermore, users can also opt to scan and share photos or documents directly to popular online cloud storage services such as Google Docs, Dropbox and Evernote. 

Increasing convenience even further, Brother has also enabled Mobile Print in all the new models (except HL-5440D). With Mobile Print, consumers will now be able to print anytime, anywhere from mobile devices such as Apple or Android phones and tablets. The driverless printing supports various platforms, such as the Google Cloud Print, Apple Air-Print® and Wi-Fi Direct (applicable for wireless models only).

The new monochrome laser series come with three options of toners – a standard-yield, high-yield or super high-yield cartridges** to meet different consumer printing needs. To reduce printing costs, consumers can choose to use the super high-yield toner cartridges which can deliver approximately 12,000* pages of prints. The range also has strong eco-credentials and is ENERGY STAR certified.
