STAGETEC to Showcase Innovative New Audio Console for the 1st Time in Australia at Integrate 2012
STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP Australia, today announced that it will be showcasing a large portfolio of audio mixing, routing and networking products, including the new POLARIS touch XCMC, a touch-control enabled audio console, at Integrate 2012, Australia’s largest audio, audio-visual, entertainment, information & communications technology event.
POLARIS touch XCMC
STAGETEC will feature for the first time in Australia its new POLARIS touch XCMC, a touch-control enabled audio console. With a single multifunctional 54 × 42 cm panel, the POLARIS uses a high-performance touch-screen with fast response time, capable of processing a large number of touch actions simultaneously. With gesture control and parallel operation of several mixing parameters it offers the level of control familiar to analogue console users.
The touch panel can be equipped with 16 freely assignable physical encoders. In a multi-panel configuration, each panel acts as an independent module, with its own dedicated CPU that communicates with the control computer over IP. Consoles of virtually any size are configurable from multiple basic modules. The maximum number of panels is limited only by the computing capacity and by the need to maintain a reasonable ratio of audio channels to controls.
The highly integrated, scalable and multifunctional solutions are particularly useful for theatre, opera, multi-purpose venues, and all types of events, and convention centres
NEXUS
STAGETEC will also be showcasing the NEXUS audio routing and networking system. For the first time in Australia, STAGETEC will present a new NEXUS interface board for Audinate’s DanteTM system. The XDIP board connects NEXUS to networks running DanteTM, combining the NEXUS world with standard Ethernet infrastructure and TCP/IP.
NEXUS is one of the very first digital audio network and routing systems, which has constantly set new standards in its field of application due to its unique flexibility. Completely modular and networked via fibre optics, NEXUS provides decentralised routing capacity while accepting almost every analogue and digital signal format on the market natively. In addition, NEXUS audio routing capabilities, additional features include A/D and D/A conversion, signal processing, audio format conversion, signal transmission, power amplifier control plus intercom matrix and talkback functionality making it the perfect backbone for any audio system. NEXUS is already installed in more than 500 locations worldwide.
Vivace
STAGETEC will also be showcasing the very popular, Vivace acoustics system. Already widely used for live events such as the Opera Garnier/Paris, Bregenz Festival and the Oberammergau Passion Play, and fixed installations like The Dallian Conference Centre in China, Folklore Theatre/Moskau and Theater an der Wien/Vienna, Vivace not only improves acoustics but also allows the acoustics to be adapted to suit differing musical genres while giving the performers a much more gratifying experience.
Vivace’s high-quality audio processing is also often used for more general sound-reinforcement processing in theatres as it can be used to improve the localization of sound sources on stage. Additionally, flexible 3D sound effects can be created by moving sources and effects through three-dimensional space. At Integrate 2012, a new Vivace control surface compatible with PC Tablet devices will be on display. As a convenient remote device this extends the range of control options, which can be used for rehearsals or whenever more flexibility is required.
