Allied Telesis Teams with Techplus Distribution for Australia Market Expansion
Sydney, 5 July 2012 – Allied Telesis Inc., a world class leader in delivering IP/Ethernet network solutions to the global marketplace, has announced the appointment of Techplus Distribution as a new fourth distributor in Australia.
The appointment is a key element of the networking vendor’s Australian channel strategy to build upon its existing base of technically sound distributors and resellers and support the strong sales growth of its range of data, video and voice solutions.
The addition of the Allied Telesis brand to the Techplus Distribution business in Australia extends the existing, flourishing relationship between Connector Systems, owners of Techplus, who have represented Allied Telesis for several years in New Zealand.
"Our proven and practical solutions, combined with Connector Systems and Techplus Distribution’s reputation for understanding not just technology, but how to best design and configure it to align with strategic business objectives, makes this a truly value-added partnership,” said Scott Penno, Australia Country Manager, Allied Telesis.
Allied Telesis has been expanding its footprint in Australia over the course of the past year with the recruitment of business development and technical resources and new customer deployments in the resources, healthcare, supply chain and education sectors.
“This partnership enables Allied Telesis to have access to the Techplus Distribution reseller channel where our family of high end networking appliances will be distributed. At the same time, the reseller channel is an integral part of our business model and Techplus enables us to further capitalise on the growing interest in our solutions across Australia. Techplus’ staff of skilled deployment and integration specialists, along with their experienced support team will be integral to our success moving forward,” says Penno.
The combination of the promise of greater functionality with a reduced total cost of ownership along with specific technologies to improve security and the performance of storage environments is quickly driving the business case for organisations to consider alternate networking vendors and present a major channel opportunity.
Chris Barton, General Manager Australia, Techplus Distribution, said, ““In today's marketplace, every business must maximise productivity and reduce operational expenses to compete. The Allied Telesis range of networking products help businesses address this challenge by offering a wide range of productivity-enhancing converged voice and data applications without the need for extensive integration projects.
“At the same time, the Allied Telesis product line presents a major market opportunity to complement the brands we already represent. It offers our reseller partners the opportunity to invest in building and supporting a burgeoning market that fulfils a real and present need while benefitting from the high levels of customer service and technical training which we can provide.
“We’ll now be able to assist regional companies gain access to powerful solutions that can streamline operations, reduce the cost of doing business and ultimately reduce risk and increase revenues. “With Allied Telesis, we have absolute confidence in our capacity to support channel business growth with solutions whose underlying technology has been proven for leading public and private sector organisations. We are very excited to partner with Allied Telesis for this market opportunity,” said Barton
