DURGA launches first Australian PaaS Cloud Platform

This partnership allows businesses (both small and large) to very quickly deploy a range of free and paid applications, as well as allowing application developers to package and sell their applications on the application marketplace. By combining the Worlds Fastest Public Cloud platform as built by OrionVM with an application provisioning platform developed by SENATH, business are able to gain rapid access to a range of business application, while keeping data on-shore.

The DURGA platform is a next generation Platform as a Service (PaaS) product that simplifies application development, testing, deployment, migration, monitoring and management in private, hybrid as well as public cloud environments. DURGA comes with a rich marketplace of applications and an application development framework that allows you to get started in matter of minutes.

In a presentation given by SENATH’s Director Kanchana Wickremasinghe, the partnership between OrionVM and SENATH was announced. “We are delighted to have partnered with OrionVM to deliver DURGA to Australian businesses. The use of an Australian cloud provider has allowed us to deliver extremely responsive applications with much lower latency than our competitors. This is key for many of customers and is very important to us”

The NBNCo Discovery Centre was selected to host this event as the NBN will provide broadband connectivity to 100% of the Australian premises. Broadband connectivity is critical to the delivery of Cloud platforms such as DURGA and OrionVM.
