Creator Tech helps integration giant CGI in Australian telecommunications
Creator Tech recently completed an opportunity identification project for Canadian company CGI, focusing on the Australian telecommunications market.
CGI is a $4.4 billion revenue company with more than 30 years’ experience in achieving results for clients. Headquartered in Montreal, Canada, CGI has 31,000 professionals in over 125 offices worldwide, and has achieved an exceptionally high satisfaction score from client assessments. Notably, in the complex system integration industry, CGI maintains an exceptional 95 per cent on-time, on-budget delivery – a result of rigorous project monitoring.
In the telecommunications industry CGI’s clients include Bell Canada, AT+T, Vodafone and Telstra. Through desk research and meetings with contacts in the industry, Creator Tech identified a number of specific situations in which CGI’s integration expertise and their credit, rating, billing and order management solutions would be able to help carriers and ISPs.
“We will clearly benefit from CGI’s increased focus on the Australian market,” said consultant Helen Bouropoulos. “This applies to their end-to-end services, such as complex systems integration and consulting, as well as to their speciality products including churn management, credit management solutions, and their rating, billing and order management suite. It is interesting that they have specific capabilities in the cloud computing space which appear to be well ahead of what is currently on offer in the Australian market.”
She added: “The fact that they have been named 'System Integrator of the Year' by both TeleStrategies and TelOSSource underscores the recognition of their skills and capabilities by the most experienced observers in our industry.”
Creator Tech specialises in delivering sales, marketing, business strategies, and business development services for communications and information technology companies. It has been responsible for introducing a number of technical innovations and new solutions to the Australian market, in both the telecommunications and enterprise sectors.
Breakthroughs include planning and executing a go-to-market strategy for Canadian client Sandvine, now the leading player in its sector in Australia; redesigning the channel strategy for TelePresence leader Polycom; and completing the first ever qualitative survey of the Australian systems integrator market which, astonishingly, discovered that much of the conventional wisdom about what channels need, is based on myth rather than on fact.

Market Potential-Strategy Guide to the Active Archive Market
The active archive market is a growing segment where tape is seen as part of a disk or network fileystem. This means that to an end user disk and tape are “blended” and whether file is held on disk or tape is “invisible” to the end user. The active archive market is the fastest growing space in the storage industry and allows direct end user access to tape through a file system front end.
