base 2 ICT Managed Services Selects Kaseya To Up The Ante On Managed Services
Kaseya, the leading global provider of IT systems management software, announces that base 2 ICT Managed Services has chosen Kaseya Managed Services platform to drive its evolution of a full-service managed services business.
The Auckland-based Managed Services Provider (MSP) was only founded two years ago, but already services more than 50 clients in New Zealand and Australia. To support its growing customer base, base 2 needed to move beyond remote monitoring and support to full-service managed services.
According to Greg Sharp, managing director of base 2 ICT Managed Services, the ability to automate everyday IT tasks is key to the company’s business. “In addition to remote monitoring and control, our engineers were looking for advanced scripting, patch management and automation features.”
After evaluating a range of available options in the market, base 2 selected Kaseya Master IT Service Edition (MITSE) as its managed services platform. Sharp said: “Our engineers gave Kaseya their thumbs up, so it was an easy choice.”
Within 48 hours, base 2 rolled out the Kaseya agents to its entire customer base, effectively enabling remote support, patch management, policy enforcement, and ticketing. “The brilliant part is the compounding nature of the Kaseya system – we don’t need to do the same thing twice, it’s all fully automated,” Sharp remarked.
He concluded: “We are already seeing great dividends for our clients, such as reduced downtime, cost saving and improved response times.”

How to reasonably and in the most cost-effective way, preserve valuable digital data for a long time – and how to prepare for the ensuing decades of continuing data growth, technology change, and increasing long-term preservation requirements.
Market Potential-Strategy Guide to the Active Archive Market
The active archive market is a growing segment where tape is seen as part of a disk or network fileystem. This means that to an end user disk and tape are “blended” and whether file is held on disk or tape is “invisible” to the end user. The active archive market is the fastest growing space in the storage industry and allows direct end user access to tape through a file system front end.
