Channel Choice opens, get voting

Voting for the ever-popular Channel Choice awards is now open and will run until August 3, 2015.

Much like the popular-vote TV Week Logie Awards, ARN’s online-only, people’s Channel Choice awards give ARN readers a chance to choose their favourite vendor, distributor or partner over the past 12 months.

The winners of the four Channel Choice category awards are those organisations with the most votes through ARN’s online poll. Only one vote per person/business email address will be accepted.

The four awards in 2015 are software vendor; hardware vendor; distributor; and partner. The vendor category has been organised into two areas (software and hardware) in order to give vendors even more of a chance to be rewarded and recognised.

Last year, the winners were HP (vendor), Ingram Micro (distributor), and Data#3 (reseller).

Nominations closed; new record set

Yes, nominations for the 2015 ARN ICT industry Awards have closed. As I write the ARN staff are already sorting through this year's massive haul of nominations. And there's no doubt that it is a record but not just any record. This year, nominations have smashed last year's mark of  278 hitting massive 460, up an incredible 65 per cent.

We bow to you. That is incredible. and underscores the position of the ARN ICT Industry Awards as the only ICT Industry Awards that matter. There is no doubt that when it comes to the channel, ARN is #1 by a long way.

To the many companies and individuals who nominated, thank you for doing so. We applaud your efforts!!!  Just entering puts you in the eyes of your peers and lets more people know about your incredible achievements as a business and/or an individual.

What happens next? Once nominations are sorted ARN's short list panel then meets and selects the finalists for each award.

The panel is made up of: ARN’s President and Publisher, Susan Searle; ARN Editor, Allan Swann; ARN Associate Editor, Events, Jennifer O'Brien; Channel Dynamics’ Moheb Moses; and Hall of Fame inductee, David Henderson.

ARN's 100-plus judging panel of industry leaders will then get down to business. Judges are asked to nominate a Winner and a Highly Commended. Judges make their selections based on the way nominees have responded to the criteria, along with their knowledge of the organisation in the channel over the last 12 months.

The ninth ARN ICT Industry Awards will be presented at a Celebration Dinner on Thursday, September 10, at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney. The 2015 awards theme is Carnivale - parading the industry’s best.

Once again, everybody at ARN Central thanks for your time, effort, involvement and commitment with the 2015 ARN ICT Industry Awards.
