NSC Group has appointed Trevor Boal as its first general manager.
Boal has spent four years at NSC, initially as NSW sales manager before becoming national sales manager. Under the new structure, four sales managers will now be reporting to Boal from around the country.
Boal said NSC Group managing director, Craig Neil, was looking to appoint someone to help drive operational effectiveness across the business.
"Now that NSC is getting as big as it is, Craig is looking to spend more time on the business rather than on operational matters," he said.
Boal said the company has spent the last three months devising a three-year plan to bring more capabilities into the business around networking and contact centre applications.
The company had also set itself aggressive growth targets for the new financial year, he said.
"We're also looking at improving some operational aspects in our business, in both sales and services. We've identified eight initiatives that I'll be tasked to deliver between now and Christmas," Boal said. "We've spent some time looking at where we believe we can improve and that's all about delivering a better customer outcome."
He said NSC had experienced significant customer growth around managed services and would look to strengthen its support capability and sales team to help drive further business in this segment of the market.
"We've just deployed an ITIL service platform into our business that's supporting about a dozen managed service customers. That will take a bit of time to bed in," he said.
Boal's resume also includes roles at Honeywell, Anixter and NetStar.
